Development…
While attending high school in the late 1960’s, Guy was influenced by listening to the program “Nightwatch” which was hosted by Bill Pearce of WMBI. Bill subsequently left WMBI and started his own program with the same format titled “Nightsounds”. Bill’s insightful, intellectual and sensitive look on issues and being an accomplished musician/trombonist, moved Guy to major in radio in college. While during the week of orientation, Guy realized that his strength at that time was in the field of music and changed his major. While in Chicago in college, he was a member of the Film Club, American Guild of Organists, Oratorio Chorus, the Moody Chorale (one of four freshmen accepted) and the Concert Band. He created a film on “The Life and Times of Henry James” that his English professor Mr. Arnold let him write and produce instead of the class’s final paper. Little did he know then – that the film took much more work. He even created film shorts on 8mm during high school with his brother… and still to this day has a love for the medium of film.
